Who Can Join?

There is no prescribed age range. Retired and semi retired people of all ages may join.  No qualifications are required and none are awarded by U3A

Blackwater Valley U3A has a general meeting on the third Thursday of each month. See the Activities page for further details and to see a list of these meetings showing speakers etc. Meetings are held in the Hawley Memorial Hall in Hawley Lane, Blackwater and start at 1:30 pm.  After the meetings which usually last about 1½ hours, there will be  an opportunity to talk to Officers, Co-ordinators and other members. There is a small charge of 50p to cover tea and refreshments.

What are the Charges

If you decide to join the fee is £10.00 for the year and you are then eligible to enroll in the study/activity groups. A few groups make a small additional charge to cover particular expenses such as speakers or materials. The financial year starts on 1st November but you may join at any time.

Membership Forms are available by contacting the Membership Secretary at the phone number shown on the Contacts page or you can CLICK HERE to download a Form which can be handed in at a Meeting or sent it by post together with the £10.00 in cash or cheque made out to Blackwater Valley U3A.

SUBSCRIPTIONS ARE DUE ON 1 JANUARY 2009

Please make your cheques for £10.00 payable to 'Blackwater Valley U3A' for all payments, whether they be subscriptions, holiday deposits, or indeed payment for anything else.
