The U3A books group is a friendly group of people who love reading.
We meet once a month to discuss the book we have just finished and to receive the new book for the following month.
The books are borrowed from the Hampshire Library Service, which provides sets of books for reading groups.
Mostly we read modern novels but occasionally may dip into the classics or non-fiction.
The discussions are often lively and may lead on to talk of other books, films, TV, life, the universe or almost anything!
The Books Group meets at a private house (Contact the organiser on 01252 872709 for details) at 14:00 on the last Thursday of the month.
The next meeting will be on 22 September to discuss 'Master Georgie’ by Beryl Bainbridge.
